NIght Before Spring Break

The night before Spring Break and all through my house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The alarm went off at 4:40am and still not a movement not even a flinch.
Mom and kids were sleeping not to wake up till 6.
Mom ran through the house with a clatter to the shower she went but it didn't matter
She looked like a hobo but grabbed her mojoe (coffee) and didn't want to go go
One her way to school she had water dripping from her wet head but instead she laughed and said
It's the Friday Before Spring break and who cares about my wet head?
So Im here at school with a wet head
Dreaming of the beach which lies ahead

Oh how hard it is for a teacher to teach the day before Spring Break!! I have struggled all week to have some motivation to teach but today is by far the hardest. And you better belive at 3:05 everyone will see the back of my Honda Accord cause Im outta here!!! Hope everyone has a great Spring Break because I can tell you this, mine is going to be so fun and so relaxing! I will post pictures of the fun adventures next week.

Snickers

Whats my weakness?? Oh yes this Snickers Bar is my weakness. I have one every morning for breakfast and a coke. I want to stop this addiction but it's so hard. I crave them all the time. When Jeff and I went to the Memphis Grzzlies game he went to get a drink and brought back THREE snickers!! I said Jeff you know I will eat every one of these and gain 15 lbs but he just told me to save them for the rest of the trip. I also have them in in ice cream bars, dark chocolate, and w almonds!! They are all good!! If you put them on top of cakes and bake them OMG it is the best!!! Here is the recipe:

SNICKERS® BAR CAKE




1 German chocolate cake mix

1/2 c. water

2 tbsp. flour

1 c. sugar

4 regular size SNICKERS® bars

1 c. milk

1 c. butter

1 tsp. vanilla



Mix cake according to directions on box. While cake is warm, poke holes in top (with handle of wooden spoon). Melt SNICKERS® with 1/2 cup water in microwave. Pour over warm cake, chocolate goes into the holes and nuts stay on top.

Meanwhile, on medium heat, mix milk and flour, whisk until thick like paste; cool. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy, add flour mixture and whip; frost cake.


It doesn't help that Linda Carroll my neighbor next door in first grade hall brings me a bag every week. I have a serious problem and I think if I just gave up my Snickers I wouldn't have to worry about being the size of a barn in the near future.

My Favorite Cleaning Tool

Ok if you don't have one of these GET ONE!! It's AWESOME!! Esp if you have kids. I HATE to mop but this little gadget is wonderful and cleans so much better than any mop or swiffer you can get. The boys always make a sticky mess but all this mop uses is water no chemicals at all and cleans sooo much better than anything I have ever used. All you do is wash the mop heads in the washing maching and reuse them!!

Easter

Can you see the VERY BLACK eye?? It's his left eye!! He fell at his dads house and did a great job on this new feature!! Bless his heart! Boys are rough but so much fun!

Jake said Mommy I'll wear this to church but NOT to Pre-School!! HAHA!!

I have 4 female and 1 male Yorkie pup for sale if anyone is interested! They are sooo cute!

Dealing with difficult people

Ok so I have to deal with difficult people all the time....we all do!!!! There is very few people that are difficult that I have to deal with but there are two people I just don't know how to deal with their actions and words toward and to me. So what do I do? I go to the Bible to find out how in the world Im supposed to handle the difficult situation. I have one person who constantly makes up crap that I am doing or have done when none of it is true and then the other is just plain ole mean and difficult to deal with and I have no choice but to deal with this person. They both have great qualities as people like we all do but their efforts of bashing me have become a priority in their life. I have let lots of things go and stay very quite but you know when you are about full to the rim of it?? well that is where I am today and am praying that my mouth stays closed. I seem to always end up on the better side if I do. I found this bible lesson and thought I would share it on my blog:


What Does the Bible Say About Dealing With Difficult People?


You may know someone else who has had to deal with difficult people, or you may have experienced dealing with them yourself. As you study the Bible, you find that God lets other people and experiences build character in us. Often, we just want the difficult person to go away and bother someone else. But what if that someone else is you?



God wants us to strive for peace. So let's look at some relevant scriptures that show how to deal with difficult people.



What should our motive be when dealing with anyone?



Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord...



Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.



Regardless of how others treat us, we are to try to have peaceful relationships with them. In the beatitudes, Jesus Christ—the Prince of Peace—said that those who are peacemakers will be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9).



What important character trait is needed to deal with difficult people?



Philippians 2:3

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.



James 3:17-18

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.



The opposite of conceit and selfishness is humility. Humility is necessary to properly deal with difficult people. We want others to be patient with our shortcomings, and we should be patient with theirs. When we strive to make peace, we are exercising humility.


What is the key to living in peace with difficult people?




Psalm 119:165

Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.



Proverbs 16:7

When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.



Following God's law is the key to peace. When we live by God's ways, we learn the way to peace. Living God's ways doesn't mean all people will like who we are, but they will like what we are—peacemakers!





Now the challenge is for me to follow these guidelines and pray that one day there will be peace!

What is Love






What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions for the mankind. Centuries have passed by, relationships have bloomed and so has love. But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some Love is friendship set on fire for others Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it. No matter how you define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the history of mankind.



Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love can not be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all. A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love. Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily. And remember we all have some positive aspect in us, no matter how bad our deeds maybe. And as God said �Love all�



Depending on context, love can be of different varieties. Romantic love is a deep, intense and unending. It shared on a very intimate and interpersonal and sexual relationship. The term Platonic love, familial love and religious love are also matter of great affection. It is more of desire, preference and feelings. The meaning of love will change with each different relationship and depends more on its concept of depth, versatility, and complexity. But at times the very existence of love is questioned. Some say it is false and meaningless. It says that it never exist, because there has been many instances of hatred and brutality in relationships. The history of our world has witnessed many such events. There has been hatred between brothers, parents and children, sibling rivalry and spouses have failed each other. Friends have betrayed each other; the son has killed his parents for the throne, the count is endless. Even the modern generation is also facing with such dilemmas everyday. But �love� is not responsible for that. It is us, the people, who have forgotten the meaning of love and have undertaken such gruesome apathy.



In the past the study of philosophy and religion has done many speculations on the phenomenon of love. But love has always ruled, in music, poetry, paintings, sculptor and literature. Psychology has also done lot of dissection to the essence of love, just like what biology, anthropology and neuroscience has also done to it.



Psychology portrays love as a cognitive phenomenon with a social cause. It is said to have three components in the book of psychology: Intimacy, Commitment, and Passion. Also, in an ancient proverb love is defined as a high form of tolerance. And this view has been accepted and advocated by both philosophers and scholars. Love also includes compatibility. But it is more of journey to the unknown when the concept of compatibility comes into picture. Maybe the person whom we see in front of us, may be least compatible than the person who is miles away. We might talk to each other and portray that we love each other, but practically we do not end up into any relationship. Also in compatibility, the key is to think about the long term successful relationship, not a short journey. We need to understand each other and must always remember that no body is perfect.



Be together, share your joy and sorrow, understand each other, provide space to each other, but always be there for each others need. And surely love will blossom to strengthen your relationship with your matter of affection.
